Days at The Beach Series- Storybook and Blog

On the 11th of May 2017, "Days at The Beach" was brought to life through the medium of Stop Motion Animation. Naturally, the next stage was to make a children's book adaptation of my story, with the help of talented illustrator Matthew Crossfield, we were able to create a truly wonderful work of art.

The first book follows the story of Billy, a young boy full of adventure visiting a local beach, when he suddenly comes across an unlikely friend. Here we see where Billy met his friend The Crab, and we learn that any friendship as strange as it may be can prevail.

Currently, the second instalment to the series “Days at The Beach” is nearing completion. working closely with another talented artist from my University Alex Thompson (Livin Lines), we’re aiming to continue the series and introduce some environmental issues which plague our local beaches, which our main heroes tackle, and come across a new seaside friend.

Thank You, Newton Primary School.jpg

Update 2: On Tuesday the 17th of July , I was very fortunate to be able to present my book, “Days at The Beach” to pupils of my old school, Newton Primary. So many smiling faces, both children and staff. It was both an experience and inspirational !! I aim to bring my book to other schools in the near future, hoping to continually inspire people.

DATB 1 - Update 1 - Sharing my Book

Update 1: Sharing my Book - After receiving the first hardback copy of my book, I took to the local beaches of The Gower, Swansea to share my story with other "beach goers". I was absolutely overwhelmed with the positive feedback I had received on that day, asking for opinions on what may need improving, many asked when the next story was coming out... in which I gasped in shock and said "hopefully, very soon". But, what would need to hopefully happen next is that, I would find a publisher who'd consider using my book or, go for a more independent route and sell locally. Only time will tell...
